AROUND TRUNDLE:
Trundle has a 18  hole Golf Course (sand-oil greens), a public swimming pool open in the summer months, tennis courts, race course and the Berryman Park Oval with sport playing fields and a BBQ area with play equipment.

You'll find all the essential services as well - Cafe, newsagency, hardware, automotive services and NRMA, post office, medical services, clubs, supermarket, library and more great facilities - many in the main street.
TRUNDLE'S ICONIC COUNTRY HOTEL:
Another NSW record claim is that the heritage listed Trundle Hotel has the 'longest wooden verandah' (87.6 metres) in NSW  - (this is disputed by a hotel in Cobar however.  I believe the Trundle Hotel checked this out and have the results on their website - http://www.trundlehotel.com.au/verandah.html).

The original Trundle Hotel opened in April 1888.  Work on the present hotel commenced in August 1911 and it was opened on the 17th March 1912.  It is a pise mud construction and rendered with cement with internal ceilings and some walls made from pressed metal.. In April 2009, the local Ward Family who can trace their families in Trundle back over 100 years purchased the hotel and are planning on bringing it back to its former glory.

Trundle in Central West NSW, offers visitors the unique experience of the Australian bush and fair dinkum Aussie hospitality.  It is 65 km north west of Parkes on The Bogan Way.  The Bogan Way connects Trundle, Tullamore and Tottenham.
Being a rural farming community, the main economy is around grain crops, sheep and cattle.
The Stock Route that runs from Forbes (south) to Dandaloo (north) runs through the centre of Trundle - in fact the old Stock Route became the main street (Forbes Street).  Requirements for the Stock Route were that it be at least 60 metres wide (3 chains) to accommodate turning bullock-trains - hence Forbes Street, Trundle is the widest street in NSW Australia.

No problems for drivers stressed about angle parking in Trundle.

Each year the 3 day Trundle Show is held in August - a great country show with fun for the whole family.
The annual Bush Tucker Day (25th year in 2012) was originally established in the beer garden of the Trundle Hotel - now it has expanded to the Trundle Showground allowing room for the large crowds that come from far and wide.

Then on the 1st Saturday of September there is a great day of fun family entertainment to be had at the Trundle Bush Tucker Day.  It is an event that guarantees great fun for both participants and spectators.
